BECOMING A MEMBER
Each semester, we invite students to join our community of leaders and problem-solvers. We offer unique opportunities to our members along with providing connections that can last a lifetime. If you would like to learn more about us prior to joining, come for our First General Meeting or view its recording on our Teams.
To join the Actuarial Student Association simply Venmo @UTD-ASA $10 per semester or $20 for the entire year including your name and email in the message. For questions contact our Treasurer, Hannah Bennet.
(Dates for accepting money are currently closed, check back in next semester or contact our Treasurer)
Being a member provides the following benefits:
ATTEND MEETINGS
Being a member means that you can attend our monthly meetings. Here we discuss internships, job-opportunities, and provide advice on how to prepare oneself for these positions. We also go over various valuable skills that can help in securing internship opportunities including professional communication training, VBA, Excel, and much more.
With COVID-19 our meetings have moved online and can be found here.

CONNECTIONS
Being in this club means that you are learning and working alongside other actuary majors. These are smart and capable people who can help you learn more about your profession and keep you on track to prepare for a career. Moreover, you can meet new friends and potential connections that can help you into the distant future.

VOLUNTEERING
Joining us means access to new volunteer opportunities. These will help you learn and grow as a person and a leader. You can develop tighter bonds with your fellow members, give back to the community, and add to your list of skills that can supplement your resume.

RESOURCES
Joining ASA means access to more resources. We organize our own actuary study groups based on the exam that you are working towards. Here you are able to learn at a steady pace and receive new perspectives on how to approach problems and topics that can appear on Exams P, FM, IFM, etc.
